D.K. Shivakumar announced a mobility grid in all cities for future growth.

Karnataka: After returning from his trip to the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar on Sunday praised Switzerland, calling it a “paradise,” and said the state government would work towards creating a mobility grid in all cities of Karnataka, keeping a 25-year vision in mind. Shivakumar lauded Switzerland’s road network, traffic discipline, railway lines, and weather, saying, “As cities are moving towards urbanization, investors are showing interest in understanding the government’s response to meet the demand for infrastructure. Considering this, we have decided to create a mobility grid by notifying areas for future roads well in advance.”
The Deputy CM said a meeting of the Urban Development, Revenue, and Panchayati Raj ministers would be convened soon to finalize the mobility grid plan.
During the event, Shivakumar stated that a total of 45 companies have expressed interest in investing in Karnataka.
“We decided not to sign any agreements with investors in Davos, but instead invited them to participate in the Global Investors Meet. Many investors are excited about the Artificial Intelligence (AI) city we are planning to build in Bidadi,” he added.
