Congress raises questions on Ujjwala scheme cuts and Tamil Nadu government

Tamil Nadu: After inspecting projects under the Amrit Bharat Scheme at Virudhunagar Railway Station on Monday, Congress leaders made critical comments about the policies of the central and state governments. They told reporters that the central government’s decision to reduce the number of subsidized domestic cooking gas cylinders available to poor women under the Ujjwala scheme from 9 to 4 is condemnable. The Congress party will strongly raise this issue in Parliament.

Congress leaders stated that the views of the Indian Alliance parties will be respected. Their opinions and policies will be examined, and necessary reforms will be made. If Congress succumbs to the Communist Party in Kerala, the BJP will attempt to gain a political foothold there. Therefore, Congress is currently monitoring all opposition policies and actions.

They called for giving the new Thaveka government time. According to them, the systematic propaganda that industrial investments from Tamil Nadu are shifting to Andhra Pradesh will not last long. The Congress party says the truth of this matter will soon be revealed and the false propaganda will be exposed.

The Congress party also praised Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Joseph Vijay’s efforts to make his government fair and transparent. Leaders stated that numerous attempts are being made to disrupt the current government. For example, the issue of missing data storage devices in the power sector is a sign of challenges to the success and transparency of Chief Minister Joseph Vijay’s fair government.

Congress leaders clarified that they will not only question the central government’s policies but will also monitor the fairness and development of state governments. They stated that maintaining fair and balanced policies in Tamil Nadu and Kerala is essential to maintain political and economic balance.

Political experts say that the Congress’s questioning of the Ujjwala scheme and its comments on the Thaveka government’s issues reflect its stance in the upcoming elections. The party is not only criticizing opposition policies but also conveying to its supporters that it is relentlessly working for the interests of the poor and ordinary citizens.

The Congress statement makes it clear that the opposition is closely monitoring the policies of the central and state governments. The party not only considers the cuts to schemes like the Ujjwala scheme a serious issue, but also insists on maintaining transparency in economic and administrative matters in Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

Thus, the Congress clarified its stance against the central and state governments, stating that it will use all available political and democratic means to ensure the welfare of the poor, industrial investment, and fair governance.
