Mitchell Starc Set to Join Delhi Capitals, May Play vs Rajasthan Royals on May 1

Australia’s top bowler Mitchell Starc has been cleared by the country’s cricket board to play in the IPL. He will soon join the Delhi Capitals team. Speedster Mitchell Starc is likely to play in the match against Rajasthan Royals on May 1. Starc has been out of cricket since January due to elbow and shoulder pain. It is known that he won the Player of the Series award for taking the most wickets in the Ashes series against England. Cricket Australia has revealed that Starc is set to return to the game and there is a chance he could play against RR in the 2026 IPL season.
The absence of some foreign players from the opening matches of the IPL has been controversial. However, Starc recently mentioned on his Instagram that he was injured. Starc played 11 matches for Delhi in the IPL last year and took 14 wickets. So far, Delhi is in fifth place in the points table this season. There are three losses and three wins. Australian captain Pat Cummins will also play in the IPL. Sunrisers Hyderabad team has a chance to play his first match soon.
