Iran’s sharp response to Trump’s ultimatum: ‘We will not be intimidated by threats’

Iran: Iran has given a strong response after Donald Trump’s 48-hour ultimatum. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian clearly said that his country will not be intimidated by any “crazy threats”. In fact, Trump had warned on his social media platform Truth Social that if Iran does not open the Strait of Hormuz unconditionally within 48 hours, then America can attack Iran’s power plants.
Responding to this, Pezeshkian said that Iran’s sovereignty will not be compromised. He said, “Threats do not weaken our resolve but strengthen it. We are ready to face any situation boldly.” The issue has further escalated tensions in the region. According to reports, a senior Iranian official has advised people to be prepared for a potential crisis. Meanwhile, the Iranian leadership has indicated that an attack on its energy infrastructure could trigger a widespread power outage across the region.
Iran’s First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref warned that any attack on energy infrastructure could cause widespread blackouts, impacting the entire Middle East. This escalating conflict in the Middle East is also likely to impact the global energy market and maritime trade. Experts believe that any disruption in the Strait of Hormuz could impact global oil supplies.
