DMK’s Victory and AIADMK’s Defeat: Vaiko

Tamil Nadu: MDMK General Secretary Vaiko has stated that they will make every possible effort to ensure a victory for the DMK.
Speaking to reporters at Madurai Airport, Vaiko said, “When the DMK offered a limited number of seats, I did not engage in any bargaining. Since I am associated with the Dravidian movement, I accepted it immediately and without any resentment.” For the past two years, I have consistently emphasized in all public meetings that Hindutva forces, under the guise of the BJP, must not be allowed to gain a foothold on Dravidian soil. Therefore, I stand firm on my stance. This is the difference between other parties and the MDMK.
He added, “It is our duty to protect this Dravidian land—the land of Periyar and Kalaignar. We have joined this alliance based on mutual understanding. We will make every possible effort to ensure the DMK’s victory.”
Furthermore, responding to a question regarding the Delhi visit of Leader of the Opposition and AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi Palaniswami, he remarked, “Any party wishing to form an alliance with the AIADMK used to come to Chennai to hold discussions.” Vaiko continued, “However, the situation has now completely reversed. Now, the leaders of the AIADMK and its allies are traveling from Chennai to Delhi, knocking on the doors of Amit Shah and other BJP leaders. This is the fundamental difference between the two situations.”
