Telangana: Fraud case registered against Home Guard officer

Hyderabad: The Panjagutta police have registered a case against a home guard officer for allegedly duping a man by promising him a government job. The complainant Sunil Gaud, a private employee and a resident of Pratap Singaram, came in contact with home guard D Chandra Prakash through a friend in 2012. In 2024, Sunil Gaud told Chandra Prakash that his wife was appearing in the TGPSC Group-4 exam and was waiting for a job. For this, Chandra Prakash promised to get him a job as a junior assistant in Kota and talk to senior officials in that regard. He also took Rs 3 lakh and a blank cheque for this. Several months passed, but there was no response from Chandra Prakash and when Sunil Gaud asked him to return the money, he refused to do so. Investigation is underway.
