The situation in Puducherry should remain the same as in Tamil Nadu: Former CM

Tamil Nadu: Senior Congress leader and former Chief Minister V. Narayanasamy said that maintaining the same alliance arrangement in Puducherry as in Tamil Nadu would be the right approach.

Speaking to reporters in Puducherry, he said: The DMK has held an alliance meeting in Puducherry, excluding the Congress. The Congress will abide by the party’s decision regarding leadership in the alliance.

He said that at a party meeting in Delhi, chaired by Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, he had stated that the party should adopt the same stance in Puducherry regarding alliances as it does in Tamil Nadu. He added that this is the way forward.
