The youth hanged himself in his house due to financial constraints

Durg. In the district, a 43-year-old youth hanged himself in his house due to financial constraints. The family members told that they are going through financial crisis. A day before, he had asked for advance money from his contractor to bring ration. He refused to give. The next morning his dead body was found hanging in the terrace of the house. Jamul police is probing the matter by setting up a cordon.

The incident is of Jamul police station area of Bhilai. Uttam Sahu’s father Shivram Sahu (43 years) committed suicide by hanging himself behind Shivans Hotel here. Uttam’s wife Ganesha Bai told that Uttam works in Mayura Company in Hathkhoj Industrial Area. He used to work under labor contractor Vineet. It was becoming difficult to run the house with the amount paid by the contractor. He had somehow got his elder daughter Jyoti married. Son Jitendra (23 years) Uttam and his wife lived in the house. Ration was over in the house for the last few days. Uttam was very worried about this. According to Ganesha, on Friday, he called labor contractor Vineet and asked for an advance of Rs 5,000. The contractor refused to pay Rs. Since then he was very upset. On Friday night everyone went to sleep in the room after having dinner. Uttam woke up between 2-7 in the night. Made a noose with a nylon rope in a parchi made of bamboo and tile outside the house and hanged in it.
