This time Pitrupaksha is starting from Friday, 29th September and will end on 14th October. In such a situation, if Shradh Karma or Pind Daan is performed by a knowledgeable person during the days of Pitrupaksha, then it is beneficial, along with this, donate food, money or clothes to the needy during the period of Pitrupaksha. It is believed that by doing this one gets the blessings of the ancestors.
Apart from this, Shraddha Karma or Pinddaan is done according to the date of death of ancestors in Pitrupaksha, in such a situation, if you do not remember the date of death of your ancestors, then you can perform Shraddha Karma and Tarpan on the new moon day of Ashwin Krishna Paksha.
