Truck carrying apples from valley overturns in Jammu, four killed
Jammu and Kashmir: A truck laden with apples going from Kashmir to Jammu collided with the divider of the bridge at around 2.30 in the night, in which four people lost their lives. After hitting the divider on Jhajjar Kotli NH44 bridge, the truck with registration number RJ13GB/5654 rolled down towards the old road Jhajjar Kotli. In the horrific accident, the driver and conductor and two others died on the spot.
An ambulance reached the spot immediately after the accident and bodies of four people were recovered. In yet another brutal crime recorded in the national capital, the body of a woman – with her legs and hands tied with chains – has been found near an MCD school in Delhi’s Tilak Nagar area, police said on Friday (October 20). Sources said that he was allegedly murdered about two days ago. Investigation into the matter has been initiated and a team of Delhi Police officials including ACP and DCP officials are present at the spot and examining the CCTV footage. A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including section 302 (murder). Delhi Crime Branch has recovered some documents from the incident site. Police said that the body of the deceased has been sent for postmortem. More information is awaited.
