Woman killed by elephant attack

Hassan (IANS). People are troubled by the frequent elephant attacks in Karnataka. Meanwhile, a wild elephant attacked a woman in Hassan district of the state on Friday. The woman was immediately taken to the hospital, where she died.

The deceased has been identified as Kavita (37). Who had come to meet her parents in Vaduru village. The incident took place when Kavita had gone to the field behind her house. There suddenly an elephant attacked him.

The family members immediately took the woman to Hassan district hospital, but she succumbed to her injuries.

Forest department officials have reached the spot and they have planned to trace and relocate the wild elephant.

Meanwhile, the people of the village have expressed concern over frequent elephant attacks.
