Youth demanded extortion from police station in-charge, accused arrested
Jamui. In a shocking incident in Jamui, Bihar, a youth called the Khaira police station incharge and demanded extortion of Rs 1.5 lakh. Threatened to kill if not given. Taking immediate action, the police arrested the accused person from Kolhua village on the basis of his mobile location. The arrested youth has been identified as Suraj Kumar, 22-year-old son of Brahmdev Sah, resident of Kolhua village.
Regarding the incident, Additional Police Station Head Mrityunjay Pandit said that on November 15, a call was received on his mobile number from an unknown mobile number. While abusing on the phone, he demanded extortion of Rs 1.5 lakh and if it was not paid, he was threatened to be shot dead. The young man also threatened and said that if I want to stay in Khaira police station, I will have to pay money as a gimmick.
Khaira police station incharge said that on the basis of mobile location, the accused youth was arrested from his home in Kolhua village. The police is interrogating the accused youth by bringing him to Khaira police station. The young man has been identified. Let us tell you that the morale of criminals has increased a lot in Jamui. Incidents of robbery and snatching are happening every day. Despite the best efforts of the police, crime is not reducing.
