Youth dies due to lover’s attack, sister injured

Hyderabad (IANS). A man and his sister were attacked with a knife by a youth over an alleged love affair in Hyderabad on Sunday. The young man died and his sister was injured in this attack. Police has given this information.

The assailant barged into a house in RTC Colony of LB Nagar and attacked Prithvi and his sister Sanghvi with a knife. Immediately both were admitted to the nearest hospital for treatment, where Prithvi succumbed during treatment.

Police have arrested the attacker, who has been identified as Shivakumar. He was allegedly pressurizing Sanghvi for marriage.

DCP Sainshree visited the spot. After this, he informed that the accused is being interrogated. The DCP said that the murder is related to love affair, but further questioning of the accused would enable the police to know more about the motive behind the murder.

Sanghvi is a homeopathy doctor, while his brother was an engineering student. He hails from a village in neighboring Rangareddy district. Police have registered the case and started investigation. A police team has collected clues from the spot.
