5 Naxalites surrendered in Bijapur
Bijapur. Naxalites seem to be becoming aggressive as soon as the BJP government comes to power in Chhattisgarh. Cases like arson and planting of IEDs by Naxalites are coming to light every day. Meanwhile, to reduce the terror of Naxalites, Naxalite eradication campaign was started by the police. The police got great success under this campaign. It is being told that five Naxalites have surrendered.
As part of the Maoist eradication campaign being conducted in the district, due to the efforts made by District Force Bijapur, STF and CARIPU 85, 5 Naxalites including Padeda RPC militia member Guddu Tati of Gangalur Area Committee of the Naxalite group have surrendered. Superintendent of Police Bijapur Anjaneya Varshney, Commandant 85 Keripu V. Tusing, Superintendent of Police STF. Vijay Pandey, Atty. Superintendent of Police Bijapur Naxal Campaign. Vaibhav Banker, Deputy Superintendent of Police Ops Sudeep has surrendered before the government after being fed up with the hollow ideology, discriminatory behavior, neglect and harassment of Maoists and being influenced by the rehabilitation and surrender policy of the government.
