50 lakh ransom demanded: Relative abducted child from school, accused arrested from Chhattisgarh
Shahdol: In Shahdol, Madhya Pradesh, a sensational case of a distant relative (resident of UP Allahabad) kidnapping a 5-year-old child from school and demanding a ransom of 50 lakhs has come to light. Kidnapping of a child from school was captured in CCTV camera. On the complaint of family members, the police registered a case and traced the mobile with the help of cyber cell and arrested the kidnapper from Chhattisgarh. The Kotwali police rescued the child from the clutches of the kidnapper and handed him over to his relatives. The police have now started investigating the matter.
Abhinav Mishra, a 5-year-old child living in Ward No. 7 under Kotwali, studies in Class 1 at Gyanodaya School. Went to school like everyday, then a distant relative Moolchand alias Baba kidnapped the child from the school and went to Chhattisgarh. During this, the kidnapper kept demanding Rs 50 lakh from the family members. As soon as the information about the abduction came, the relatives of the child lodged a complaint with the police station. On the complaint, the Kotwali police registered a case against relative Kidnapper Moolchand alias Baba under other sections of Kidnap and got involved in the investigation. Also, the incident of kidnapping from the school was captured in the CCTV camera installed in the school. By tracing the mobile location of the kidnapper with the help of CCTV footage and cyber cell, the Kotwali police arrested the kidnapper from Manendragarh in Chhattisgarh.
