Pritam reminisces about his 20-year journey with Dinky director Rajkumar Hirani
Multifaceted artiste Pritam Chakraborty, popularly known as Pritam, is excellent as a composer, instrumentalist, guitarist and singer, having created many chartbusters during his illustrious career. His latest venture includes composing the first track Loot Putt Gaya for the upcoming film Dunky under the direction of Rajkumar Hirani. Pritam expressed his eagerness for this inaugural collaboration with Hirani, while also remembering the late Sanjay Gadhvi on the occasion of his birthday. Pritam recalls memorable moments with his mentor Rajkumar Hirani and late Sanjay Gadhvi Accomplished musician Pritam, who has a track record of over two decades of working with director Rajkumar Hirani on multiple projects, is collaborating with him for the first time in a film. This special project is the much-awaited Shah Rukh Khan starrer Donkey. She recently took to her Instagram to reflect on her two-decade journey. In a heartfelt post, he also remembered his camaraderie with late Dhoom director, Sanjay Gadhvi on Gadhvi’s birthday. He wrote, “My journey with Raju Hirani and Sanjay Gadhvi started almost 20 years ago. Both have been guides and advisors. It was Raju, with whom I had done many advertisements and jingles, who introduced me to Sanjay. And then it was Sanjay who gave me my first few films and stood by me like a rock. We lost Sanjay just three days ago. Today is Sanjay’s birthday. But today the first song of Raju Ki Dunki is also launched. In over 20 years, #Dunky is Raju and I’s first film together.”
