One leg of student amputated in accident, truck driver in custody
Surguja: A student going from home to school was hit by a truck on the National Highway. In this accident, one leg of the student was amputated. Police have taken the truck and driver into custody. The seriously injured student is being referred to Ambikapur. This incident took place at Saliatoli intersection of Kunkuri police station area.
Actually, the incident happened around 11 o’clock, when Ankit Ram, a student of Dholchunwa village, was coming to Swami Atmanand Hindi Medium School on a bicycle. It is being told about the incident that the boy was moving forward in his direction after crossing the intersection when a truck hit him from behind.
In this accident, Kit fell on the road along with his bicycle and the front wheel of the truck moved forward, crushing his legs and bicycle. The truck driver started running away with the truck, which people chased and caught in front of the police station. At present, preparations are being made to send the injured student to Ambikapur Medical College for better treatment.
