Barati arrested for disturbing the peace, arrested after 2 months

Janjgir-Champa. Baloda police have arrested the absconding accused Durgesh Kanwar and sent him to judicial custody in connection with the fatal attack on the villagers in Sattiguri village of Pantora sub-station. The accused, Durgesh Kanwar, is a resident of Kuchena village in Korba district. The other 2 accused in the case are still absconding, whose search is on by the police. Another accused Ajit alias Lalu has been arrested by the police on July 26.

In fact, on June 23, the procession from Kuchena village had reached Sattiguri village, when there was a dispute between the baraatis and the villagers over dancing. After this, the accused baraatis had fatally attacked the villagers Satyam Kanwar and Chabilal Kanwar. Both the villagers were seriously injured in the incident. After this both were admitted to the hospital and an offense was registered against the 4 miscreants in the case. The accused were absconding since the incident, after which the police arrested the accused Durgesh Kanwar and sent him to judicial custody. Another accused was caught by the police on July 26, while the police is on the lookout for the other two absconding accused.
