Delhi Police Arrest Salim Wastik, Fugitive in 31-Year-Old Kidnapping & Murder Case

He kidnapped and killed a businessman’s son 31 years ago. The court found him guilty and sentenced him to life imprisonment. Later, he was granted interim bail. Even after the bail expired, he did not surrender in jail. He has been on the run for 26 years. Recently, he went viral with his controversial statements and these YouTube videos. As a result, the police searched through old records and identified him based on his fingerprints. Later, he was arrested.
In 1995, Sandeep Bansal, the 13-year-old son of a businessman from northeast Delhi, was kidnapped. The police identified him as Salim Wastik, who had kidnapped him. He was immediately arrested. The court that tried the case sentenced him to life imprisonment in 1997. However, in 2000, the Delhi High Court granted him interim bail. After that, Salim absconded. He did not return to court.
However, recently he went viral with controversial comments and videos on YouTube. As a result, the police conducted an investigation using old records, fingerprints and photos related to the case. He was found guilty in the kidnapping and murder case of 31. As a result, the police arrested him in the town of Loni.
