Famous poet Anjum Rahbar joins Congress

Bhopal (IANS). Country’s famous poet Anjum Rahbar joined the Congress on Sunday in the presence of Congress’s Madhya Pradesh unit president Kamal Nath.

Shayra Anjum Rehbar joined the Congress in front of Kamal Nath at the former chief minister’s residence. At the same time, she expressed concern over the present condition of the country and that till now she has been doing poetry, now she wants to do social service and that is why she has joined Congress.

Assembly elections are going to be held in the state in the coming time and when she was asked whether she would contest as a Congress candidate, she clearly said that she would not contest the elections, but if the party makes her a candidate, she would not refuse either.
