New Delhi. Congress Rajya Sabha MP Dheeraj Sahu has given the first reaction in the matter of more than Rs 350 crore cash found during the raid. He said that this is not my money and Congress has nothing to do with it.
While talking to news agency ANI regarding the Income Tax Department (IT) raid, he said, “There is no money of Congress or any other opposition party in the money that has been recovered. “An attempt is being made to defame him unnecessarily.”
Dheeraj Sahu said, “I have nothing to do with this money. This is my family’s money. Our family is very big so this money belongs to them. As of now, it has not been said by Income Tax that this money is illegal. In such a situation, it would be too early to say anything about this money.”

Actually, IT had raided Dheeraj Sahu’s residence in Ranchi as part of its action against the liquor company of Odisha owned by his family. The place where IT raided is the joint family residence of Sahu. In this, IT has recovered more than Rs 350 crore. ,
Dheeraj Sahu said, “What is happening today makes me sad. I can accept that the money recovered belongs to my firm. The cash that has been recovered belongs to my liquor firms. The money is not mine, it belongs to my family and other related firms. IT has just raided. I will give an account of everything.” The Income Tax Department had conducted this raid on Bhubaneswar headquartered company Buddhist Distillery Private Limited (BDPL). IT had reportedly initiated action against the company’s alleged tax evasion. The promoter of this company is Sahu’s family.
