Gold worth Rs 2.5 crore seized at Chennai airport

Chennai: Gold worth Rs 2.5 crore was seized from a passenger who arrived at the airport here from Dubai on Saturday, customs officials said.

Gold weighing about 5 kg was hidden in the form of coiled wire. The Customs Department said the Indian passenger has been arrested and further investigation is underway.
