Jeetendra’s 79th birthday, become a superstar like this

Birthday of Jitendra Kumar: Today is the birthday of Bollywood legend Jeetendra. He is celebrating his 79th on 7th April. Yesteryear’s superstar Jeetendra was born on this day in 1942 in Amritsar, Punjab. Earlier Jeetendra was known as Ravi. He is especially known for his dance. He belonged to a middle class family. A boy from a middle class family became the heart beat of millions.

In Mumbai’s Goregaon, a group of boys always used to watch movies first show. After watching the film, he used to tell people how the film was. One such day director V Shantaram had come to see the film. He saw one of the boys in the group talking about the film. He was very impressed with the boy and decided that he would give him a chance to work in his film. That boy was none other than Jeetendra.

After this director V Shantaram offered Jeetendra to work in his film Geet Gaya Pattharon Ne. Before coming to films, his name was Ravi Kapoor, later he got the name Jeetendra. And he became a superstar. Jeetendra was inclined towards films since childhood. He wanted to become an actor from the beginning. He always used to run away from home to watch movies.

Jeetendra started his film career with the 1959 film ‘Navrang’, in which he played a small role. For almost 5 years, Jeetendra did his struggle in the film industry. In the year 1964, Jitendra got a chance to work in V Shantaram’s film Geet Gaya Pattharon Ne. After this he made his own identity in the film industry.
