Lightning fell on a woman working in the fields, death

Dhamtari: A woman died due to lightning in village Dahi of Kurud police station area in the district. The police have established the route and started taking further action. It is being told that 50 year old Mamta Patel, resident of village Dahi, had gone to her field to mow. During this time the weather turned bad, due to which the woman was coming home from the farm. At the same time suddenly lightning fell. Due to which the woman died.

On getting information about the incident, the family members and villagers reached the spot and took the body to Kurud Hospital for post-mortem. Due to the sawmill being filled with water, the post-mortem of the woman was done in the open. However, Kurud police has started taking further action.
