Negligence in duties will lead to dismissal: Collector Ankit
Bhadradri Kothagudem District Collector Ankit has warned the medical staff that negligence in their duties will result in dismissal. The Collector conducted a surprise inspection of the Julurupadu Primary Health Center (PHC) on Monday. He inspected every department of the hospital for about an hour and pointed out the shortcomings.
Hearing the old man’s cry, he stood firm.
As part of the inspection, the Collector, who came to the outpatient department, found an elderly man who had lost his leg in an accident and was in a helpless condition, about to go to his house. The Collector was moved to tears as he said that he had no one and could not afford to get treatment. He immediately responded and ordered to collect complete data about the elderly man and take him to the Kothagudem Government General Hospital in an ambulance for better treatment. He said on this occasion that the government’s goal is to stand by the poor.
MPDO should be alert to the intensity of the sun
The Collector expressed concern over the increase in cases of heatstroke in the inpatient ward. In view of the intense summer, MPDO Talluri Ravi was instructed to be alert regarding the delay in setting up cooling centers and distributing ORS packets in the mandal. He said that the distribution of ORS packets should be taken up immediately. People’s lives should not be compromised. He warned that strict action would be taken if cooling centers were not set up on a war footing.
