Rami Malek and Lucy Boynton break up after being together for five years
Los Angeles (IANS). Actor Rami Malek, who played rock legend Freddie Mercury in “Bohemian Rhapsody”, has split from his girlfriend Lucy Boynton after five years.
The two actors met on the sets of ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’, reports mirror.co.uk. Lucy played Freddie’s girlfriend Mary Austin in the film.
Rami won an Oscar for his role in the film. Insiders told The Sun that the couple broke up earlier this year. The last picture of the two together was revealed in February this year.
A source told The Sun: “Rami and Lucy are both moving on with their lives and are busy working.”
According to Mirror.co.uk, it is rumored that since the breakup, Rami has been reaching out to several friends for emotional support, including The Crown’s Emma Corinne. The two were seen at a Bruce Springsteen concert in Hyde Park in July.
When Rami won the Oscar for Best Actor for ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’, he said in his speech, “Lucy Boynton you are the life of this film, you are so talented, you have won my heart.”
Raimi most recently appeared in ‘Oppenheimer’ as David Hill, a nuclear physicist who helped build the atomic bomb during World War II. He also appeared as the main villain Lucifer Safin in the latest ‘James Bond’ film ‘No Time to Die’ alongside Daniel Craig.
