Sarpanch candidates’ symbols changed overnight in Tangallapalli!

The election officials changed the symbols allotted to the sarpanch candidates in the Tangallapalli Major Gram Panchayat (Panchayathi Elections) of Rajanna Sircilla district overnight. The change of the symbol of the candidate supported by the BRS party, Ankarapu Ravinder, who was the first name on the list under pressure from Congress leaders, created a stir. In the list announced on Saturday, Ankarapu Ravinder was declared the first name and was allotted a ring symbol. However, Mora Lakshmi Rajam (Congress Party), who was the last name on the list, objected. However, the officials allotted symbols to the sarpanch candidates on Saturday evening.
With this, the Congress leaders complained to the Collector. Under pressure from the ruling party leaders, the symbols were changed night after night. With the hasty orders of the Election Commission, the symbols of the Sarpanch candidates were changed and revised on Saturday night at 11.30 pm and pasted on the Gram Panchayat notice board with the help of the police. With this, Ankarapu Ravinder, who was the first name, was declared second in the list. When he was the first name, he was allotted a ring symbol. It is noteworthy that when he came second in the list, he was allotted a scissors symbol and announced. With this, another candidate who was in second place, Itikala Mahender (BJP), changed to his first name.
