SSP took meeting of nodal officers

In view of the Assembly Elections 2023 and in continuation of the efforts being made for peaceful, free and fair elections in compliance with the Model Code of Conduct, today on 01.11.2023, Senior Superintendent of Police Mr. Prashant Aggarwal, all mobile phones in C/4 building located on Civil Lines A meeting was held with nodal officers of service provider companies (Jio, Airtel, Vodafone/Idea and BSNL). In the meeting convened by Senior Superintendent of Police Prashant Aggarwal, the nodal officers of mobile service provider companies were informed about various provisions to be kept in mind while using telecom services by various candidates and political parties and in accordance with the implementation of the Model Code of Conduct. was given. The role of telecom services provider companies in free and fair elections was discussed in detail.
At present, information was sought from the general public regarding bulk messages and recorded calls for election campaign and they were asked to identify those sending bulk messages and making recorded calls. In compliance with the Model Code of Conduct, instructions were given to completely ban any kind of campaigning through bulk messages and recorded calls sent by any party or candidate 48 hours before voting.
Instructions were also given to provide the information required by the police immediately during the elections. Additional Superintendent of Police Crime Shri Pitamber Singh Patel, Deputy Superintendent of Police Crime Dinesh Sinha, Inspectors Girish Tiwari, Gaurav Tiwari and Virendra Chandra from Anti Crime and Cyber Unit and nodal officers of the four telecom service provider companies were present in the meeting.
