BRS candidate’s husband kidnapped… conspiracy to prevent him from filing nomination

The incident of kidnapping of the husband of BRS-backed sarpanch candidate Mangodi Lakshmi took place in Yellammagudem, Tipparthi mandal, Nalgonda district. The husband of candidate Mangodi Lakshmi, Yadagiri, who had gone out on Saturday morning to bring a car to file his nomination, did not return home. She, along with local leaders, who were worried, came to meet the leaders who were present at the party’s Diksha Divas in Nalgonda. She explained the situation in the village and the kidnapping of her husband to former MLA Kancharla Bhupal Reddy. Immediately, Kancharla Bhupal Reddy, along with Mangodi Lakshmi, former ZP chairman Banda Narender Reddy, former MLAs Ravindra Kumar, Nallamothu Bhaskar Rao, and party leader Dudimetla Balaraj Yadav, reached the village directly.
While the district leaders were in the village, Lakshmi filed nominations for the sarpanch and several ward member posts with the help of local leaders. BRS leaders alleged that the Congress leader was threatening no one else to file nominations for the sake of unanimity. She said that as part of this, she had also threatened her husband Yadagiri and BRS activists who wanted to contest as ward members. However, despite informing the police, Yadagiri could not be found till Saturday night. Former MLA Kancharla complained to the SP and DSP.
