BRS Team Meets South Central Railway GM, Requests Kazipet Division

Hyderabad: BRS leaders, former MP B. Vinid Kumar and former MLA Aaruri Ramesh Babu met the South Central Railway General Manager (SCR GM) on Monday. They submitted a petition requesting the Kazipet Railway Division to provide job opportunities to the locals.

Speaking to the media on this occasion, they said that there has been a demand for a coach factory in Kazipet for 40 years, but the Center had announced a wagon factory ten years ago. They explained that local leaders had talked to the farmers of the area and agreed to give them land at a low price.

However, they revealed that the GM had stated that the work in the factory was being done by private individuals rather than locals and had demanded that the locals be given an opportunity. They said that the GM had explained that the Railway Board would take a decision on the Kazipet Railway Division.
They demanded that jobs be given to those who lost their lands in Kazipet, as was given to locals in Latur.
