Midnight Shooting: 9 Killed as Armed Assailants Open Fire at Tavern

In the middle of the night, 12 armed assailants in two vehicles caused havoc. They entered a pub and opened fire indiscriminately. 9 people were killed in the shooting. 10 others were injured. The incident took place at around 1 am on Sunday in Bekkers Dal township, in the West region of Johannesburg, South Africa.

The assailants entered the pub and opened fire, causing panicked people to run. After the shooting in the pub, the assailants also fired at those they saw fleeing. They also fired on the streets as they fled. Three children were among the 9 people killed in the shooting. Officials said the injured have been taken to hospital and are receiving treatment.

They said that the exact reasons for the shooting were not known. They said that an investigation has been launched into the incident. Security has been tightened in the area following the shooting. Meanwhile, on the 6th of this month, there was also a shooting in Pretoria. Several people, including a three-year-old child, lost their lives in that incident.
