Satyavati Sinha under TB-free Gram Panchayat, in which the CMHO himself examined the patients. He told that since January 2023 till now, the total number of TB patients in the district are 916. Dr. Mandal also told that under the Nikshay Poshan Yojana, the government transfers Rs. 500 every month to TB patients through DBT in their account as nutritional assistance for the entire period of treatment. Giving information about the symptoms of TB disease, it was told that cough with sputum for more than two weeks, bleeding, no fever in the evening and night, loss of appetite, persistent weight loss etc. are common symptoms of TB. TB disease can be completely cured by timely investigation and DOTS method. Investigation, treatment and medicines are given free of cost in government hospitals.
