TDP leader arrested for derogatory remarks against CM Jagan
Visakhapatnam (IANS). Andhra Pradesh Police on Friday Chief Minister Y.S. Senior TDP leader and former minister Ayyana Patrudu arrested at Visakhapatnam airport for making derogatory remarks against Jagan Mohan Reddy and ministers.
They were taken into custody after the flight from Hyderabad landed at the Visakhapatnam airport. The police arrested him and took him to Krishna district.
Police booked the TDP leader and some others for making derogatory remarks against the chief minister and ministers at a public meeting recently held at Gannavaram in NTR district as part of TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh’s ‘Yuva Galam’ padayatra Was.
On a complaint filed by YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader and former minister Perni Nani, a case was registered against Ayyana Patrudu.
This is not the first time that Ayyana Patrudu has been arrested for making derogatory remarks against the Chief Minister.
TDP Politburo member Patrudu was booked on the same charge in 2021 and 2022. In October last year, their son Vijay was attacked by Chief Minister’s wife Y.S. The CID had registered a case against Bharti for posting fake news.
In November last year, the former minister and his second son Rajesh were arrested on charges of alleged encroachment and forgery.
He had allegedly submitted a false document in the High Court on the demolition of his house by the municipal authorities in Narsipatnam.
