Telangana Cabinet approves budget for 2024-25

Telangana: In a significant development, the Telangana State Cabinet met under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to approve the budget for the financial year 2024-25. The Cabinet meeting was held at the Assembly Committee Hall, setting the stage for the upcoming budget presentation. Finance Minister Bhatti Vikramarka will present the budget in the Assembly, while Minister Sridhar Babu will introduce it in the Legislative Council at 12 noon. Budget meetings in the Telangana Assembly will continue till August 2. Notably, the Assembly will observe a recess on August 26, while budget discussions are planned on August 27. Various bills will be introduced on August 29 and 30 after the weekend break on August 28. One of these, the currency bill, is expected to be introduced in the House on August 31. Apart from this, other bills will be introduced on August 1 and 2.
