The government has increased the amount of assistance for the maintenance of cows in cow shelters – Revenue Minister
Revenue Minister Mr. Ramlal Jat said in the Vidhansabha on Wednesday that the state government is working with a determined spirit for the conservation and promotion of cow dynasty in the state. He said that on the increasing rates of fodder and the demand of gaushalas, the period of assistance being given to gaushalas under the Cow-Protection and Promotion Fund Revised Rules-2021 has been increased from 6 months (180 days) to 9 months from the financial year 2022-23. Month (270 days) has been done. Along with this, for the maintenance of cows in eligible cows, at present Rs. 40 for large cows. And 20 rupees for small cows. There is a provision to be given per cow dynasty per day.
The Revenue Minister was replying on behalf of the Gopalan Minister to the supplementary questions asked by the member in this regard during the Question Hour on Wednesday.
Earlier, in a written reply to the original question of MLA Dr. Rajkumar Sharma, he told that from the financial year 2022-23, 270 days’ assistance is being given to the Gaushalas in two phases. In which this assistance is given in the first phase in the months of April, May, June and July and in the second phase in November, December, January, February and March.
The Revenue Minister laid on the table of the House the district-wise details of grants given to Gaushalas in the last three years. He informed that the present government has increased the rates of assistance being given earlier for the maintenance of cows kept in cow shelters. In place of Rs. 32 for big cows, Rs. 40 and for small cows, instead of Rs. 16, Rs. 20 per day per cow dynasty is being given.
