Indian Railways: Indian Railways is now moving towards modernization. Under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme of the Government of India, 500 railway stations of the country will be rejuvenated. The plan is based on the concept of long-term development of the stations. After which the appearance and facilities of these stations will change. According to the Railway Ministry, all the stations are being developed keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers. Minimum facilities have been fixed at all stations, which will include lifts, escalators, waiting halls. Among these, there are three stations with the highest budget, which will be the biggest and most special. Lakhs of passengers travel through these stations every day.

New Delhi will be developed as the largest station in the country. About Rs 4700 crore will be spent here. About five lakh passengers travel at this station every day. The total area will be 2.2 lakh square meters. There will be separate entry and exit routes for passengers coming to the station. Two six-storey signature domes will be built in the station premises. The height of the dome will be 80 meters and 60 meters respectively from the ground.

Surat station will be developed second after Delhi. It will be developed as a multi-modal transport hub. Which will provide seamless connectivity by integrating railways, city bus terminal station, metro. The entire station complex will look like an international level business centre. About Rs 2700 crore will be spent here.

Mumbai’s CSMT railway station is at third place. The station will have all modern facilities like an airport. About Rs 2500 crore will be spent here.

55 AMRUT stations will be developed in Uttar Pradesh at a cost of approximately Rs 4500 crore. 55-55 in UP and Rajasthan, 44 in Maharashtra, 49 in Bihar, 37 in West Bengal, 32 in Assam, 34 in Madhya Pradesh, 22 in Punjab, 21-21 in Gujarat and Telangana, 20 in Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil These include 13 railway stations in 18 Nadu, 15 in Karnataka, 15 in Haryana and 3 in Uttarakhand. 3 are from Tripura and 1 each from Himachal Pradesh, Meghalaya and Nagaland.
