Türkiye’s President in Saudi, many agreements signed
JEDDAH: On the arrival of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Saudi Arabia, the two countries signed several agreements related to investment, defense industry, energy and communication. The agreements were signed on Monday after a meeting of a delegation led by Erdogan and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in the city of Jeddah, Anadolu news agency reported. President Erdogan earlier held a closed-door meeting with the Saudi Crown Prince at the Al-Salam Royal Palace. The Turkish leader arrived in Saudi Arabia on Monday as part of a three-day Gulf tour to strengthen ties. He was received by several high-ranking Saudi officials, including Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Xinhua news agency reported. Before leaving Istanbul during the day, Erdogan told a news conference that the main agenda of his visit to the Gulf countries is about investment and financing. The President is accompanied by members of his cabinet and officials. After Saudi Arabia, Erdogan will visit Qatar and United Arab Emirates.
