Two smugglers arrested in Chhattisgarh-Maharashtra border, tiger skin seized
Gariaband: The Forest Department team has arrested 2 interstate smugglers with tiger skin. The accused have been caught between Maharashtra-Chhattisgarh border. Further action is being taken against the accused.
According to the information, both the accused had come to Etapalli, Maharashtra to deal in skins. During this time the Forest Department team got information from the informer. After which the Forest Department team reached the spot and arrested the accused. After finding the skin, it is being estimated that there is no trace of the tiger in Udanti for the last several months. The Forest Department fears that the skin recovered may be that of a tiger from Maharashtra.
