West Bengal Phase-1 Voting High; PM Modi, BJP Criticize TMC

Kolkata: The first phase of assembly elections is being held in West Bengal today. Statistics show that voting is taking place at a record level. However, Prime Minister Modi participated and spoke at the election meeting held in Krishnanagar today. He said that there is strong opposition among the people against the Trinamool Congress government. He said that a huge vote is being taken against a mismanaged and irresponsible government. He said that people are tired of the corruption and incompetence of that party. The Prime Minister said that voting is happening at a record level, people are expressing their anger, and the BJP’s victory is certain on May 4. During the recent election campaign, Prime Minister Modi criticized TMC for going to a shop in Jhargram and eating jalmudi (a spicy snack), but the chilli spiciness was on the menu.
BJP general secretary BL Santosh said in his statement that the voting is going on at a record level in Bengal, which is a sign of BJP’s victory. It seems that 62.18 percent voting has been done in Bengal till 1 pm. The Election Commission said that 56.81 percent voting has been done in Tamil Nadu. He said that voting is going on in a very interesting manner in both the states.
