Woman cheated of lakhs in the name of getting work in serial
Sonipat. Cyber thugs are continuously breaking into Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Digital India campaign. One such case has come to light from the rural area of Sonipat, where a woman resident of village Khatkar of Kundli police station area has been targeted by cyber thugs. Cyber criminals cheated about Rs 18 lakh from the woman. People in the country and state are constantly being made aware about cyber fraud. Despite this, vicious cyber criminals are easily stealing people’s income. One wrong step can destroy people’s entire life’s earnings. A woman resident of village Khatkar of Kundli police station area of Sonipat has a six-year-old daughter. A message came on the woman’s Facebook that if her daughter does modelling, there is a place for her to work in two serials. At first he refused, but after that he showed many documents to convince the woman. After which she fell into their trap.
From March 22 till now, about Rs 18 lakh has been sent to the account of those who cheated him. But now the victim woman has lodged a complaint with the police. After the complaint, Sonipat Cyber Police Station has registered a case and started further action. The victim woman said that her daughter is fond of modeling. He complained about this at many places for a long time, but now the police has registered a case. The thugs have cheated me on the pretext of getting my daughter work in films and serials. Giving information about this case, ACP Jeet Singh Beniwal said that a woman resident of village Khatkar had complained that four people had cheated her daughter of Rs 18 lakh on the pretext of getting her a job in a movie and serial. On the basis of which we have started investigating the matter. The woman has given the names of four people. ACP said that we appeal to the public to stay away from such cyber fraudsters and file a report on the helpline number of the fraud done to them, so that their hard-earned money is not allowed to reach the fraudsters.
