Young man murdered by crushing his head on the middle of the road

Janjgir/Champa. The body of a bike driver was found on Bharat Mala Road in the area, he was murdered by crushing his head with a stone. The recordings of CCTV cameras installed at nearby gas stations are being examined. The police is busy investigating this matter. The incident took place in Pantora Chowki police station area.

According to the information given by Panthora outpost in-charge Dilip Singh, the deceased youth has been identified as 36-year-old Pankaj Shastri, resident of Deka Bilaspur area, who worked as an auto-rickshaw driver in Bilaspur.

He left Bilaspur by car late on Monday evening. When family members called, he did not answer. The car was also found overturned on the road. Looking at the dead body, it appears as if someone had hit his head several times with a stone and crushed it, resulting in his immediate death.

According to the police, there was blood scattered on the road after the incident. The weapon used in the murder was placed near the victim’s head, which was discovered by the police. After the murder, an attempt to murder was made to make it look like an accident. The police is investigating the matter from every aspect.
