IG took police officers crime meeting
Durg : Inspector General of Police Durg Range Durg Badri Narayan Meena took a review meeting of the Superintendents of Police of the range. During this, he stressed on creating better law and order and said that pending cases should be resolved immediately. Pay special attention to complaints. Police should play an important role in providing justice to the victim by investigating crimes related to women on priority.
A review meeting of pending crimes was organized in the office of Inspector General of Police, Durg under the chairmanship of Inspector General of Police, Durg Range, Durg, in which Ram Gopal Garg, Senior Superintendent of Police, District Durg and all gazetted officers of Durg district were present and officers of District Bemetara and District Balod. Superintendent of Police and other gazetted officers participated in the review meeting through video conference.
In the meeting, the Inspector General of Police congratulated the officers/employees on duty for their important role in the peaceful completion of voting in the range and stressed on paying special attention to basic policing in the coming times. The last month of the year is approaching, hence the City Superintendents of Police/SDOP were directed to review the pending cases in the police stations under the section and resolve the cases as per rules and take action for “zero” pendency, especially in property related and women related crimes. Instructions were given.
Instructions were given to maintain constant coordination with the neighboring districts and to ensure checking/blockade proceedings by exercising special vigilance in the district in case of any major theft/incident of theft in the neighboring district. There should be regular checking of goons/surveillance criminals and if there is a need to open new goons/surveillance criminals, then instructions were given to review the crimes and take action to open goonda/surveillance criminals as per the rules. Instructions were given to strengthen the traffic system in the districts and run awareness campaigns. It was also clarified that during traffic checking, people who do not follow traffic rules, persons of suspicious nature etc. should be checked but special care should be taken to ensure that the general public does not face any problem in this.
