Vendors selling paan, fruits, samosas, and chaat were littering the street; the municipal corporation removed them.

Raipur. Acting on the orders of Municipal Corporation Commissioner Vishwadeep and under the direction of Zone 5 Zone Commissioner Khir Sagar Nayak, the Municipal Corporation Zone 5 Health Department conducted a surprise inspection in the Bhakt Mata Karma Ward No. 67 area. A total fine of Rs. 5200 was imposed on 12 shopkeepers who were found to be operating paan stalls, fruit shops, and samosa/chaat stalls on the roadside, causing litter and obstructing the road. The fines were levied in the presence of Zone 5 Zone Health Officer Sandeep Verma, Sanitation Inspectors Dilip Sahu and Prem Manikpuri, and Vanish Dubey of the Municipal Corporation Zone 5 Health Department. The shopkeepers were given a strict warning for the future. The health department also promptly addressed sanitation-related public complaints received at the zone level. Additionally, approximately 5 street vendors who had encroached on the road were removed, clearing the road of obstructions.
