Shock for ‘Border 2’ on the first day.. Shows cancelled in Mumbai

Sunny Deol’s most awaited movie ‘Border 2’ is facing hurdles on the first day of its release. While the film is set to hit the screens today, it has been postponed due to technical issues in major multiplexes in Mumbai. The main reason for this is the delay in reaching the theaters with the digital content of the film. As the final copies were not ready even after midnight on Thursday, the management has cancelled the shows that were supposed to start between 7:30 and 9:00 am. Fans who had reached the theaters with huge expectations are expressing extreme impatience after the shows were cancelled. However, theater sources have revealed that the shows are likely to start as usual from 11:00 am.
On the other hand, the film has been embroiled in controversy in the Gulf. The governments of the Gulf countries like the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Qatar have decided to stop the release of the film. There are reports that the censor board has denied the release of some scenes in the film on the grounds that they are anti-Pakistan. The film, directed by Anurag Singh and featuring a huge cast like Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty, is receiving a great response in other regions where it has been released. With positive talk from critics, film analysts believe that the film is sure to create records at the box office if the technical issues are resolved.
