Assam: Another minor student dies in Bajali road accident

Bajali: Another minor student has succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment at Assam’s Barpeta Medical College and Hospital.

The deceased was a 15-year-old Class 9 student.

Earlier, another student also died while receiving treatment at the same hospital.

The tragic incident occurred at Bhagmara in Bajali district on January 3 when a Maruti Swift vehicle collided with a tractor on a public road.

One student remains in critical condition in the ICU of a hospital in Guwahati.

The incident has raised serious concerns over underage driving, parental negligence, and weak enforcement of traffic rules.

As Bajali mourns the loss of young lives, locals have urged authorities to take strict action to curb underage driving and strengthen road safety awareness.

Family members and teachers expressed grief over the incident.
