Ludhiana: Class 12 student commits suicide

Ludhiana: A 12th-grade student committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan in his room while his mother was at work. Based on the statement of the deceased’s mother, the Sahnewal police have registered a case under Section 108 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) against the daughter of the landlord whose house they were renting. According to sources, Aryan Yadav (19), a resident of Makkad Colony in Gyaspura and a student at a private school, was having an affair with his landlord’s daughter. It has been learned that the landlord’s daughter, Jyoti, had completed her studies and was currently working.
The deceased’s mother, Sunita, alleged that her son and the landlord’s daughter were in a relationship. The boy had been upset with their relationship for some time. The mother alleged, “He was forced to take his own life because of the girl.” However, official sources stated that the girl’s parents had arranged her marriage, which may have upset the boy and led him to take this extreme step. Investigating officer Iqbal Singh said, “The post-mortem of the deceased has been conducted and the report is awaited. Further investigation will be conducted based on the report.” He added, “However, no suicide note was found at the scene.”
